2022 We Serve United Day of Service

Postponed! Join us on Saturday, October 1^st as we participate in FORCLT’s United Day of Service. On this day, the big “C” church will be mobilized to have a redemptive presence, serve together, and share the love of Christ by meeting needs and performing service projects with four participating community partners.

Engagement Opportunity #1: MedAssist

• Description: This opportunity is on a first-come first-serve basis. It will consist of unboxing medications, sorting, and repacking medications for community wide distribution to those vulnerable of not being able to afford their medications.
• Open Volunteer Slots: 15
• Volunteer Time:  9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• Minimum Age: There is a minimum age of 14 years
• Attire:  Please wear your purple “P” t-shirt, and dress comfortably
• COVID: Protocols will continue to be followed

Engagement Opportunity #2: Loaves & Fishes

648 Griffith Rd B, Charlotte, NC 28217 (their warehouse)

• Description: This opportunity is on a first-come first-serve basis. It will consist of sorting and packing fresh and nonperishable foods that will be distributed out amongst our vulnerable community members.
• Open Volunteer Slots: 20
• Volunteer Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• Minimum Age: There is a minimum age of 14 years
• Attire: Please wear your purple “P” t-shirt and mandatory closed-toe shoes
• COVID: Protocols will continue to be followed

 Engagement Opportunity #3: Samaritan’s Feet

• Description: This opportunity is on a first-come first-serve basis. It will consist of sorting new shoes that have been donated for distribution locally and globally.
• Open Volunteer Slots: 60
• Volunteer Time: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
• Minimum Age: There is no minimum serving age
• Attire: Please wear your purple “P” t-shirt and closed-toed shoes

Engagement Opportunity #4: NC Diaper Bank

• Description: This opportunity will be on a first-come first-serve basis. It will consist of counting and wrapping diapers and pull-ups for equity distribution into the community.
