Scripture - Psalms 130:3-8 MSG
How do you choose life when you can’t see a new beginning and all that you can see is an unhappy ending?
Choosing life when all that you can see is an unhappy ending happens when you choose what will be the largest picture. Choose where you look to change your outlook.
The largest picture of God is one that addresses an ugly picture that we can’t change.
Verses 3-4
'If you, God, kept records on wrongdoings, who would stand a chance? As it turns out, forgiveness is your habit, and that’s why you’re worshiped. '
Choosing life when all that you can see is an unhappy ending further entails choosing what has the loudest voice in your life. Choose what you hear to change what you believe to be possible.
Verse 5
'I pray to God —my life a prayer— and wait for what he’ll say and do.
NIV
'I wait for the Lord , my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. '
Choosing life when all that you can see is an unhappy ending comes when you defiantly imagine the final outcome.
Verses 6-8,
"My life’s on the line before God, my Lord, waiting and watching till morning, waiting and watching till morning. O Israel, wait and watch for with God’s arrival comes love, with God’s arrival comes generous redemption. No doubt about it—he’ll redeem Israel, buy back Israel from captivity to sin.'
