Ready, Set, Pray - Day 20
O Gracious God, my Father, I bless Your name for every good and perfect gift bestowed upon me. I must confess that like Israel of old, I have often allowed discouragement to get me down and I found myself drifting into a state of forgetfulness concerning Your divine character. I turn from this senseless state of forgetfulness and I praise You because You are a God that can be trusted, a God that keeps His Word. Your Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path and I thank You that Your Word reminds me that You are my water in a dry land, for "You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is not water."
Today I pause to celebrate You, the initiator of every blessing and I give You praise for those who preceded me, who bloomed where they were planted, who had a heart to serve and in so doing left a legacy of faith, hope and love. Therefore, I sing "Spring Up O Well." Spring Up in my personal and public life, my family life, and my life as a servant leader and help me seize every open door as an opportunity to not only experience Your joy and refreshment for myself, but use it for Thy glory that others may be blessed. Open my eyes to see greater opportunities to serve You and help me to sing as I work side by side in fellowship and service with others.
In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
