The Counseling Ministry at The Park Church has a variety of support services for both members and guests in our community. The follow best frames the offerings the Counseling Ministry provides.
Bereavement Aftercare Ministry is made up of individuals who feel called to serve others through demonstrating care and concern for them after the loss of a loved one. Those who serve in this ministry are often people who have previously experienced a loss and felt genuine love and care extended to them.
GriefShare is a national ministry of support groups for grieving persons. The purpose of the group is to provide education about the grief process along with spiritual and emotional support for those grieving the loss of a loved one.
Cancer Care Ministry provides support an education for persons who have been impacted by the illness. And has three segments 1) Persons in the ministry will visit individuals who are currently battling the illness. 2) The support group meets monthly. 3) Quarterly educational workshops are offered that deal with different types of cancer.
Divorce Care is a support group which offers practical guidelines, along with support and encouragement for anyone struggling through the tragedy of a broken marriage. The discussions address the emotional wounds experienced during divorce and focus on complete healing through Jesus Christ.
Domestic Violence Ministry provides support, encouragement and resources to persons impacted by domestic violence.
Job Transition support the difficulties of facing joblessness and engages in the encouragement needed in a challenging season.
