Valerie Nicholson Memorial Scholarship
CRITERIA
The Valerie Nicholson Memorial Scholarship honors the life and legacy of Valerie Nicholson—a devoted mother, servant leader, and compassionate caregiver whose life reflected Christ’s love through service to children, families, and the marginalized. This scholarship supports graduating high school seniors who demonstrate faith, service, compassion, and commitment to community, mirroring the values Valerie lived daily.
Applicants should show at least one of the following:

- Volunteer service through church or community organizations
- Caregiving or mentoring roles (siblings, children, elderly, foster care, etc.)
- Hospitality or outreach involvement
- Demonstrated compassion through consistent acts of service, particularly toward children, families, the elderly, or underserved communities
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
- The Valerie Nicholson Memorial Scholarship is available for graduating high school seniors only.
- The Valerie Nicholson Memorial Scholarship will be awarded for direct school costs only (tuition, room, board and books).
GPA REQUIREMENT
Applicant must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of at least 2.5.
