How do you choose life when the levees break and all that you can see is death, dying, demise, failure, destruction?

Verse 8,

'We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.

Destiny is not in our imaginings. Destiny is in God’s determinings

When the levees break, when you’re inundated, taken over, overcome and can’t see anything but death, how do you choose life?

You choose life by realizing that being helpless does not mean being hopeless.

Verses 8-9,

Verse 10

'He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us again. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us,

We choose life by putting our hope in the continuousness of God.

We choose life knowing that we are supported and sustained by the prayers of others for which we give thanks
