Title - A Long Obedience in the Same Direction

Text - Genesis 22:1-15 NLT

Obedience is not a matter of the what, where, why, or even how. It’s a matter of who.

There is no such thing as pain-free obedience.

A long obedience in the same direction includes an openness to hearing new instruction.

A long obedience in the same direction entails a willingness of follow a difficult path.

A long obedience in the same direction includes engaging and absorbing difficult questions.

A long obedience in the same direction then is acting on faith with insufficient evidence.

A long obedience in the same direction sets the opportunity to seeing the Lord provide.

Ultimately the long obedience in the same direction is not about the direction. It’s about the director.
