Health and Wellness Director
Work Hours: Full-Time (40 Hours)
Role
The Director of Health & Wellness at the Park Church is designed to lead the administrative efforts and ongoing operation of the Health & Wellness Ministry. By virtue of it’s function to engage both Park Church members and the community at large, this position will interface between both the Church and the CDC (Community Development Corporation) relationship with the Park Church Ministries. This position will report to the Chief Ministry Officer at The Park Church and will also support strategic efforts of the CDC as identified.
This role will provide oversight and deployment of programmatic offerings to the church ranging from youth through Senior Adults. These programs are not limited to physical fitness health, but also mental health awareness access to resources and programs offered by the church and the community at large. The position function of services and offerings should align to the mission of The Park Church which is: The Park Church exists to extend the Love, the Life, and the Lordship of Jesus Christ to every person, in every way, in every place, and at every time that the opportunity is given.
Primary Areas of Responsibility
Primary areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to the following:
- Oversee and maintain a programmatic schedule of Health and Wellness programs during each year
- Create ministry plan strategy and budget for calendar year offerings
- Build and bridge community awareness to Health & Wellness offerings available from The Park Church
- Act as a Liasson between The Park Church and community partners current and newly identified to ensure message continuity and fostering relational rapport
- Oversee structured volunteer communication for scheduled events
- Create, ideate and recommend to Park Leadership new opportunities to engage with initiatives that foster Health & Wellness
- Document and contain metrics that are reportable on member and community engagement
- Coordinate, as publicly accessible (emerging from COVID) sports programs, leagues and events that build into community around Health & Wellness)
- Create a refreshed Membership Program (Park Member rate & Public rate) for offered services
- Ensure The Park Church – Seniors (Pacesetters & Prime-Timers) have active engagement opportunities
- Facilitate volunteer meetings to disseminate information, guidance and appeal for service support opportunities
- Perform required administrative tasks in a timely manner
- Utilize Social Media avenues for promotion, awareness and opportunities to market events
- Provide data metrics as captured and consolidated on activities, programs and events
- Document and communicate any incidents for Park Management team to be aware of
- Supply Park Ministry Leadership with feedback and suggestions as they arise for added efficiencies, impact and value to those we serve
Ongoing Expectations
- Administrative people skills, PC skills (email, Word, Excel, social media a plus)
- Experience working with peer ministry leaders and build cross ministry engagement
- Effective presentation skills and ability to present, position Health And Wellness within The Park Church and with Community Partners and the public as needed
- Facilitate and bring strategy, suggestions and direction alongside the CDC for events, efforts and campaigns that bring value to the Charlotte community
- Ability to diffuse un expected communication interactions in the moment with calm demeanor

- Experience in building, maintaining a volunteer team providing inspiring direction and responsibilities

Social Media Specialist
Dept / Ministry: Virtual Ministry | Work Hours: Full Time – OR – Part Time (2)
Role
To engage believers, explorers and visitors who are connected to The Park Church “TPC” on social media platforms. Be instrumental in drawing explorers and seekers to our worship services and become engaged in various ministry related activities, ultimately growing and developing as a disciple of Christ. This role will report to the Virtual Ministry Director. The Social Media Specialist will be responsible to train and lead our digital ambassadors (volunteers) to enhance and maintain The Park Church’s reputation and brand with an active, consistent, and on-going social media presence.

- In collaboration with the Virtual Ministry Director, identify the Key Performance Indicators and track performance
- Lead a team of digital content ambassadors (volunteers)
- Facilitate the editing of long to short video clips of worship services, Bible Study, TPN, and other announcements; partner with Studio P
- Participate in the ideation of original content production (text and video)
- Create content – writing both short- and long-form posts, sourcing images, repurposing user-generated content, photographing services and events, and producing short-form videos
- Track, analyze and report results for organic content, posts, special promotions, etc.
- Stay abreast of social media and digital marketing trends
Qualifications
- College degree in Communications, Digital Marketing, Graphic Design (preferred)
- 1-2 years’ experience working with the digital creative development process
- Experience posting text, graphics and video to social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, Facebook, etc.)
- Coordinate and communicate digital media performance metrics
- Ability to develop and present strategic recommendations and communicate to leadership

Platform and Support Coordinator
Dept / Ministry: Virtual Ministry | Work Hours: Full Time (40 Hours)
Role
To engage believers, explorers and visitors who are connected to The Park Church “TPC” online. Collaborate with TPC ministry leaders to support discipleship and engagement of virtual attendees to become fully devoted followers of Christ who connect with and experience TPC’s virtual or Hybrid ministry connection. This role will report to the Virtual Ministry Director. The Platform and Support Coordinator (PSC) will have the responsibility to train and lead a team of volunteers to facilitate worship services and events via online streaming platforms (Facebook, YouTube, and TPC website, etc.). The PSC will be responsible for reporting and data analytics from each platform and collecting demographics of virtual and hybrid members and guests.

- Coordinate collection of virtual attendees (member and guests) demographics via online surveys, jot forms, etc.
- Support and encourage new member orientation and virtual assimilation experience in conjunction with TPC Ministry Team leaders.
- Partner with Gloo and other technology partners to increase engagement and communications with virtual members and guests.
- Support Virtual Ministry Director with avenues for Virtual Ministry groups, house churches and communities online.
- Collaborate with TPC Ministry Staff leaders and help identify ways to bridge effective engagement for Hybrid Online/In Person members (in room and virtual engagement) Zoom
- Partner with Studio P, IT to support the production and distribution of Virtual/Online services and content.
- Creatively develop new ways to engage members of TPC through online platforms.

- Support Objective and Key Results (OKR’s) for the ministry areas. By building a template for online engagement and data metrics identifying visitors and unique attendees.
- Supply reporting on Virtual community attendance, through diverse avenues of participant connections and elevate efficiencies needed for ongoing and expanded engagement.
- Maintain a balanced work schedule, working with TPC Technology Team for ongoing collaborative engagement for programs and online engagement resources and tools needed to be effective and efficient.
- Support and coordinate available avenues for virtual congregation access before and after weekend services.
- Maintain flexible working schedule and hours as determined by the needs of the ministry.
Qualifications
- College degree with biblical studies. (preferred)
- Knowledge of scripture. (required for discipleship engagement)
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in some capacity of church volunteering. (preferred)
