February 2024: Heart Health Awareness Month

Every year, we encourage our Park family GO RED by wearing red one Sunday in February.

Every year, we encourage our Park family GO RED by wearing red one Sunday in February. The American Heart Association uses the platform GO RED to bring awareness of how heart disease has affected women and how gaps in clinical care impact heart health in women.

Heart disease is the number one killer of women. Nearly 45% of women age 20 and over are living with some form of heart disease.
Please visit the Healthcare Ministry in the Narthex after service to find information on how you can take steps to change your
lifestyle behaviors to reduce the risk of heart disease. Stop by the
ministry table to pick up this information and have your blood pressure checked. Knowledge is power, and you have the power to change unhealthy behaviors.

The Healthcare Ministry is seeking to partner with the National Black
Church Initiative in the next few months as we present health issues
that have a greater impact on minorities. Also, be on the lookout for
the upcoming CPR classes coming soon.
